At a press conference in Aberdeen today a noted agricultural economist said the state of South Dakota will get an economic boost in the billions of dollars from construction of the Northern Beef Packers plant. The plant is located southwest of Aberdeen.
Rod Bowling of AgriFood Solutions International of College Station, Texas was hired by the Aberdeen Development Corporation in a partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development to study the impact of the plant’s creation. Bowling today said the plant will change the income to the communities and farmers in the billions of dollars:
